New Art Class! Homemade Mosaic Garden Stepping Stone with Custom Ceramics

"Key to my heart" handmade clay designs to be fired

Here at the Village Art Studio we offer classes to make unique Garden Stepping-stones with a surprising ceramic component. You design your personalized names, sayings &  shapes from clay. We have an abundance of cookie cutters and forms for your use to help with your designs or unleash your creativity completely and make some free form shapes of your own.  After the clay is fired( baked), you get to glaze your homemade ceramic tiles anyway you choose. Then come back one more time for the mosaic part! Here’s where you have loads of fun and  also so be challenged! Remember you want to find just the right pieces of cracked studio tiles to place around your ceramic tiles to build a  successful stepping stone. Some people do random….some people plan ahead. Either way works!  We’ll  even do the grout for you. Classes are only $30.00 includes (3) 2 hr weekly workshops and ALL the supplies you need to complete one 12 X 12 concrete stepping stone.  Call 352-949-1699.  Ask for Jeanie

By using our stamping technique, you can make unified and custom tiles.  Classes are in the works to learn this and other no- fail techniques to make jewelry, switch plates & plaques and more.

Polymer Clay Classes Forming

Learn to make your own polymer clay light switch covers. These are a great addition to any room and you can personalize them to your hearts desire! These make awesome gifts too.
You will learn how to make impressions in the clay and add color and shimmer
The skills you learn in this class can be applied to creating all kinds of items from jewelry to home decor.
You do NOT need any prior experience to create these fabulous designs, you will learn all of the skills in the class.
You will leave with a finished light switch cover, ready to use in your home.
