The Village Art Studio has Adult Painting workshops. Each workshop is 3 hrs and you walk out with a finished Painting suitable for hanging!. Choose from Watercolors or Acrylics for now. An Oil Painting Instructor is coming on board soon also. Workshops are the first 2 Mondays or Tuesdays of the month from 10 AM-1:00 PM. Saturdays or evening are available also. Bring your favorite landscape picture or work from one of ours. After a few lessons, we’ll be painting outside! Our clients come from Levy, Alachua, Gilchrist and surrounding counties. Clay and Painting classes for Children and Adults in Gilchrist County Florida

Did you know our Art Studio in Bell, Florida is opened to all ages? We have Children’s art classes and Adult art classes and  one day workshops. We also have jewelry making lessons, pottery wheel classes and of course we teach painting too. Stain glass classes will be starting in the Spring. Our clients come from Bell, Chiefland, Branford, Alachua, Trenton, Old Town and other towns near Gainesville, Fl. Where else can you come hang out in a beautiful country setting for a day and learn art from an artist that has perfective her techniques after studying in Europe and Asia? Besides a Master’s Degree in Art Education, our lead instructor, Jeanie, has been awarded a Special Study Certificate in Asia Art after spending a summer studying Art in China. New Year..New Children’s Art Classes..New Adult Art Classes…New Gift Shop In Bell

It’s a New Year with new exciting schedules. Children’s Art Classes are scheduled around 3 week sessions. Space is filling up. Let us know when you plan to attend to save a spot. Ten is our limit. Don’t get sent away!  Remember, our new Teenage Classes of portfolio quality lessons are now on Thursday @ 3:15. Plan to be here until 5PM.   Adult classes will be Mon, Tues, Fri from 10 AM-noon. We also  have new “make and take” projects including watercolors, mini acrylic paintings, polymerclay projects and more.

Our new gift shop will be opening in March 2012. You can find Art Kits, handmade crafts, painted ceramics, natural Bees Wax candles,  hand painted stationary and an abundance of uniques hand crafted gifts. Now one more country  gift shop opening to join the wonderful shopping  experience of Bell along with Lisa’s Boutique, Helping Hands Gift Shop, and the Mission Thrift Store.

New Art Class! Homemade Mosaic Garden Stepping Stone with Custom Ceramics

"Key to my heart" handmade clay designs to be fired

Here at the Village Art Studio we offer classes to make unique Garden Stepping-stones with a surprising ceramic component. You design your personalized names, sayings &  shapes from clay. We have an abundance of cookie cutters and forms for your use to help with your designs or unleash your creativity completely and make some free form shapes of your own.  After the clay is fired( baked), you get to glaze your homemade ceramic tiles anyway you choose. Then come back one more time for the mosaic part! Here’s where you have loads of fun and  also so be challenged! Remember you want to find just the right pieces of cracked studio tiles to place around your ceramic tiles to build a  successful stepping stone. Some people do random….some people plan ahead. Either way works!  We’ll  even do the grout for you.
